In a TikTok video, Jonas can be heard telling Shetty that he has a "beautiful co-parenting relationship" with theGame of Thronesactress,29. "I have a beautiful coparenting relationship that I'm really grateful for," he said. "Having an incredible mom, Sophie, for those girls is like a dream come true." "As young girls, looking up to great women is what I want for them," he continued. "I think what values I want for them are to be open-minded and have a big heart, be able to walk into any room and feel confidence, and know that they can do literally anything they want." The parents have never shared photos of their daughters on social media, and they are careful to keep their girls out of the public eye. In January 2023, theJonas Brotherswere honored with a star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame. Willa and Delphine were not present for the special event. Despite their absence, Jonas gave them a shout-out during his acceptance speech. "To my little ones at home,Daddy loves you to the moon and back," he said. Later that year, Jonasfiled for divorcein September 2023 afterfour years of marriage. That same month,Turner sued Jonas and requested her children be returned to England. In the lawsuit, the actress called for "the immediate return of children wrongfully removed or wrongfully retained." In October 2023, Jonas and Turner determined atemporary custody agreement, which allowed their daughters to split equal time between England and the United States. A few months later, in January 2024,Turner dropped the "wrongful retention" claimsagainst Jonas, and a judge approved to dismiss the filing after their parenting agreement had been approved in the U.K. A source told PEOPLE a few days later that after a back-and-forth battle over custody of their daughters,the exes are peacefully co-parenting. "They turned things around from the initial messy custody battle," the source said. "They are friendly and great co-parents now." While speaking at an Art Basel/ Miami Art Week event in December, Jonas opened up about his life as a father. "As a parent myself, I'm alsoreliving childhood again through my kids' eyes, which is just the best feeling," he shared at the event held at 1 Hotel South Beach. He continued to reflect on what "little Joe" would want for himself, and how he pursues that now as an adult. "I'm really making sure that I'm able to have a lot of fun," he said. "This is so amazing that we get the opportunity to be on this earth and do what we get to do. Whether it's enjoying your career, or hopefully on your way to enjoy your career, and you've got great friends and great people around you, I think really being able to tap into, hypothetically, what little Joe would really be into is having fun with whatever it is."
