Thehost of the 2025 American Music Awardsexclusively told PEOPLE ahead of the May 26 awards ceremony about the many reasons why she's feeling ecstatic for her upcoming busy summer months. "I'm excited to tour. I'm excited first to go do Pride," Lopez, 55, says ofheadlining WorldPrideduring June's Pride Month in Washington, D.C. "I'm super excited about that. I'm working on that show right now too as we speak, and crafting the tour as well. I'm excited to get back out there." AMERICAN MUSIC AWARDS "It seems like a perfect summer to celebrate being free and being happy," she continues of her outlook. "Just everything in my life right now just feels really healthy and good, and I'm ready to get out there and make people sing and dance and have a good time. That's always my goal." TheKiss of the Spider Womanactress will embark on herUp All Night Live tour, her first tour in six years, starting in Egypt on July 4. Lopez also plans to spend time this summer with her17-year-old twins, Emme and Max, whom she shares with ex-husbandMarc Anthony. "I think my kids are going to come to Pride because I'm doing more of a concert [at WorldPride], so I'm excited about that," she says of her teens joining her amid her summer gigs. "They're sweet. They're the best." Emme and Max, however, won't be joining their mom for the AMAs. "They have school, so they can't come. The"Can't Get Enough"singer's AMAs hosting gig comes 10 years after she made her AMAs hosting debut in 2015. This year, the three-time AMAs winnerneeded to get stitchesafter an AMAs rehearsal mishap. "I hurt my nose. I hit it in rehearsal and I had to get stitches. It was fine," she tells PEOPLE. "A few of us have gotten hurt in rehearsals. We're doing a very high-energy athletic number so it's, I guess, bound to happen." TheAmerican Music Awardswill air live from the Fontainebleau Las Vegas at 8 p.m. ET/5 p.m. PT on CBS and Paramount+.
